Last weekend I met with a number of local residents who have written to me regarding the dodgy clamping on Private Land being run by local 'security' firm 'Sango Security' Ltd. Ypu can find
out more information about this in the box at the bottom of the front page of this website.
We had a lot of coverage in the media last week including:
ITV London News
The Haringey Independent which you can read HERE
And the Journal which should be covering it this coming week.
As a result of this attention I understand that the Securities Industry Authority will now be investigating local residsent's claims that Sango are breaching the conditions of their license which
is what i wrote and asked them to do back in November.
I'm very angry that it has taken this long for the SIA to act and I will be writing to Vernon Coaker MP, the relevant Minister at the Home Office, regarding this
apparent inaction. People have a right to expect that the relevant regulatory body will act when claims against an organisation like this are made and that people have had no
recourse with the Local Authority or the Local Police in order to do something about this makes that all the more important - they have to be answerable to the public.
Another result of this campaign is that there are now more signs up in Latham Court warning of the clamping company - althout i would argue that they are still too small - but if they mean
fewer people get clamped and this company makes £1 less from unsuspecting residentsd that's all for the good!
